What is the Christian Fletcher Reissue Series?

The Christian Fletcher Reissue Series is a one-time, limited release of 70 surfboards hand-shaped by Steve Boysen. Each board honors the radical designs Christian Fletcher helped pioneer in the late ’80s and early ’90s.

How many boards are available?

Only 70 boards total. Once they’re sold, no more will be made.

What types of boards are included?

  • CF Tahiti Personals – Boards modeled after Christian’s heavy-water surf trips.

  • CF Contest Personals – Contest-inspired designs from Christian’s competitive peak.

  • CF Reissues – Airbrushed classics built for both performance and display.

  • CF Relics – Distressed finishes to feel like true vintage survivors.​

 

Are these boards hand-shaped?

Yes. Every board in the Christian Fletcher Reissue Series is 100% hand-shaped by Steve Boysen using period-correct templates, techniques, and materials.

How do I order a Christian Fletcher board?

You can place an order online through the website.
After your order is placed, you will receive a follow-up call from Steve to confirm your selection, answer questions, and make sure you’re getting exactly what you want from what is available.

Do these boards come with a Certificate of Authenticity?

Yes. Every Christian Fletcher Reissue board comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, signed by Steve Boysen and Christian Fletcher, and individually numbered.

Can I request custom sizes or changes for Christian Fletcher boards?

No. The Christian Fletcher Reissue Series boards are pre-designed to match the original late '80s and early '90s era shapes. No custom dimensions or design changes are available for this series.

Will there be another reissue in the future?

No. This is a one-time-only release. Once these 70 boards are gone, there will be no additional runs.

Are all of Steve Boysen’s boards hand-shaped?

Not all.
While the Christian Fletcher Reissues are fully hand-shaped, many of Steve's regular custom boards start with a precision machine cut and are then finished by hand to achieve exact design and performance standards.

 

Can I order a regular custom board online?

Yes.
You can place an order online for a custom board.
After your order is submitted, Steve will personally call you to discuss your needs, finalize dimensions, and ensure the board is built exactly for your surfing style.

Can I customize dimensions, design, and artwork?

Yes.
When ordering a regular custom board (outside of the Christian Fletcher series), Steve will work with you to fine-tune dimensions, performance features, artwork, and other custom options.

 

Where are Steve Boysen boards made?

All boards are shaped and finished by Steve Boysen in Southern California, combining decades of craftsmanship with modern performance tuning.

 

What makes Steve’s boards different?
